Wicked Wolf Closes After 15 Years; Owner Plans New Waterfront Concept

Wicked Wolf Tavern, a long-standing bar and restaurant on Hoboken’s waterfront, has closed after 15 years in operation. The business, located at 120 Sinatra Drive, hosted its final event on Sunday, January 4, marking the end of its run as a popular destination for sports fans, happy hour regulars, and Sunday crowd gatherings.
The closure follows the expiration of Wicked Wolf’s lease. According to a report by The Hoboken Girl, owner Sean Sullivan confirmed that the decision came after the parties were unable to reach an agreement on a rent increase. Sullivan also told the outlet that his restaurant group is planning a new waterfront concept at a different location.
Originally opened in 2010, Wicked Wolf became known for its large number of TVs, tavern-style menu, and its role as a social hub for Hoboken residents. The business expanded in 2022 with the launch of The Lola, a separate restaurant and cocktail bar located nearby on Sinatra Drive.
Details about the new concept have not been announced, but the owner indicated plans are in progress.
