North Bergen High School Marching Band Performs on The Tonight Show

The North Bergen High School Marching Band appeared on the March five episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as part of a birthday surprise organized by actor Ryan Gosling for Eva Mendes.

During the segment, Gosling revealed that Mendes was in the studio audience celebrating her birthday and asked teachers in attendance to sing “Happy Birthday” to her. As the surprise continued, the show acknowledged band directors from North Bergen High School before introducing the marching band.

“Ladies and gentlemen, here to play ‘Happy Birthday’… please welcome the North Bergen High School marching band,” the Fallon announced.

The band then entered the studio and performed “Happy Birthday” as the audience applauded.

The appearance placed the North Bergen Bruins marching band on national television following its recent Tournament of Bands championship.
