Kearny Urban Enterprise Zone Offering Facade Improvement Grants Up to $15,000 for Local Businesses

The Kearny Urban Enterprise Zone (KUEZ) is offering grants of up to $15,000 to eligible member businesses for exterior building improvements through the Kearny Storefront Project.

Grant funds can be used for signage, awnings, exterior lighting, electrical work, painting, architectural restoration, window and door replacement, front glass graphics, and exterior furniture and decor.

To qualify, businesses must be active KUEZ members, registered in New Jersey, located within a designated KUEZ district, and in good standing with local and state taxes and regulations.

“Many businesses have the vision to upgrade their exteriors, but lack the capital needed for these kinds of improvements,” said Linda Kraus D’Isa, KUEZ Coordinator. “By providing these grants, the KUEZ is supporting local business while making the town’s commercial districts more inviting and competitive.”

Businesses interested in applying can access the full application at forms.office.com/r/Cm0TZ1Bbn0. For questions about eligibility or KUEZ membership, contact Linda D’Isa at ldisa@kearnynj.org.
