Jersey City, NJ – Eleana Little, an environmental engineer and long-time community advocate, has announced her bid for Jersey City Council in Ward E. Known for her commitment to sustainable development and tenant rights, Little aims to address pressing issues facing residents in Downtown Jersey City.

“I don’t take money from big developers or special interests; our movement is people-powered, so our neighbors can trust that I’ll work for them, not the powerful,” Little stated. This sentiment drives her platform, which emphasizes tenant protections, climate resilience, and transparent governance.

Little’s platform focuses on three primary areas:

  • Tenant Protections: Little advocates for stronger protections for renters and aims to expand affordable housing options.
  • Climate Resilience: Leveraging her background as an environmental engineer, she plans to enhance flood prevention through green infrastructure, helping Jersey City better manage climate change impacts.
  • Transparent Government: She intends to increase accountability within city governance and cut unnecessary spending to fund essential programs.

The campaign will officially launch with a community event on Saturday, November 16 at 2:30 pm in Downtown Jersey City. Little encourages all supporters and residents to join her to discuss her vision for Ward E and connect over shared goals for the city.

“Now more than ever, it’s important to bring our community together and advocate for people-first policies,” Little added. More information about her campaign can be found at LittleforJC.com.
