Hoboken to Host 12 Days of FIFA World Cup Block Parties

The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Business Alliance announced plans to host a 12-day series of neighborhood block parties and live match screenings tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, beginning June 13.
Organized by the city’s Division of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the Hoboken Business Alliance, the festivities will feature six rotating pop-up fan zones across Hoboken’s neighborhoods. Each block party will include live match screenings, food and drinks from local businesses, local retailers, and live entertainment.
“The World Cup is coming, and Hoboken is ready,” said Mayor Emily B. Jabbour. “This summer, we’re opening our streets to the world and celebrating the people who make the Mile Square City so great. Whether you are a soccer fan or not, everyone is welcome.”
Hoboken Business Alliance Board of Trustees President James Runkle said the partnership reflects the city’s role as a regional destination. “Hoboken has long been a robust business hub and a dynamic destination in its own right, and this summer will put both on full display,” Runkle said.
The six fan zone locations are First Street between Washington and Garden streets; 10th Street between Park and Willow avenues; Grand Street between 14th and 15th streets; 14th Street between Bloomfield and Hudson streets; Sinatra Drive between First and Fourth streets; and Adams Street between Fifth and Sixth streets.
Programming will culminate July 19 during the World Cup Final with expanded celebrations along First Street and 14th Street. A children’s soccer activation is also planned at Sinatra Field.
MetLife Stadium, designated NY-NJ Stadium for the tournament, in East Rutherford will host eight matches from June 13 through July 19. Hoboken Terminal connects fans to the stadium via NJ Transit rail to Secaucus Junction and the Meadowlands Rail Line.
