Hoboken Invites Residents to Sign Up for Ninth Annual Spring Fling Day of Service

Mayor Emily B. Jabbour is inviting Hoboken residents, businesses, and community groups to participate in the city’s ninth annual Spring Fling, a citywide day of service focused on beautifying parks and public spaces.
The event will take place Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at various locations throughout the city. Volunteers will clean parks, streets, beaches, and public areas, as well as weed, plant, and mulch green spaces and paint benches, fences, and other public amenities.
“Spring Fling is one of Hoboken’s most impactful community wide days of service which brings neighbors together to improve the common places we all share,” Jabbour said. “From Mama Johnson Field to our waterfront, this event reflects the pride our residents have in their city.”
Individual volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Those registering as part of a team may be younger if accompanied by a trusted adult. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is Friday, May 2. Volunteers will be notified of their assigned project and location via email on May 8.
