Kamil’s II Restaurant Brings Savory Lebanese Cuisine to North Bergen
Fans of Lebanese cuisine in North Bergen have a new dining destination with the opening of Kamil’s II at 8227 Kennedy Boulevard. The grand opening event, held on May 17, was attended by Mayor Nicholas Sacco, who officially welcomed the restaurant to the community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Kamil’s II is the latest venture from owners Mohammed Abedrabbo and Kamil Barakat, who have a combined 43 years of restaurant experience. The original Kamil’s, located in Clifton, has been a culinary staple for over two decades and was even recognized by the New York Times as one of New Jersey’s best restaurants.
The new North Bergen location, formerly Rose’s Deli, has been completely refurbished to provide a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a spacious outdoor deck. The menu features a wide selection of traditional Lebanese dishes, all made from scratch using fresh ingredients. Popular items include grilled meats cooked over charcoal, with the chicken being a standout favorite among patrons.
Mayor Sacco praised the addition of Kamil’s II to the local dining scene, stating, “So proud to see our community grow and happy to welcome another amazing business! Good luck and much success!
In addition to Mayor Sacco, the grand opening was attended by Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri; Assemblyman Julio Marenco; NHRFR Executive Director Michael DeOrio; and many friends and family members of the owners.
For those looking to experience the flavors of Kamil’s II, the restaurant is open for dining and offers an extensive menu that includes hot and cold appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, and drinks.
