Hudson County Transport Workers Union Bring Holiday Cheer with Toy Giveaway
On Tuesday families filled the William J. Brennan Courthouse in Jersey City for the first annual Hudson County Toy Giveaway. The Event offered kids toys, treats, and a chance to meet Santa, all designed to make the holiday season a little brighter for local children.
“This is about spreading joy and making sure every child in our county feels the magic of the holidays,” Hudson County Executive Craig Guy said. Adding that events like this reflect the county’s commitment to community and support during a season that can be stressful for families.
The Transport Workers Union helped make the event possible, giving their time and energy to distribute gifts and celebrate with families. Union leaders said participating in the giveaway was meaningful way to give back to the communities their members serve every day.
Parents at the courthouse said the event lifted a with off their shoulders. For many, it was the first chance this season for their children to meet Santa and pick out a special gift.
Organizers called the event a success and said they hope it becomes a yearly tradition, bringing families together and spreading holiday cheer across Hudson County.
