Hudson County Community College Receives National Award

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) has been named one of only 21 colleges nationwide to receive the 2025 Inspiring Programs in Business Award from Insight Into Diversity Magazine. The award recognizes institutions that provide strong support systems for underrepresented students pursuing business-related fields.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from Insight Into Diversity,” said HCCC President Christopher Reber. “Hudson County Community College provides inclusive, high-quality educational programs that increase student success and economic mobility.”
The award was presented to HCCC’s Business Administration program, part of the School of Business, Culinary Arts, and Hospitality Management. The program’s Business Education Supplemental Training (B.E.S.T.) initiative connects students with industry professionals in finance, marketing, and career readiness. Participants have engaged in investment challenges, mentorships, Wall Street tours, and case-study competitions.
“HCCC’s B.E.S.T. program provides students with real-world experiences that help them stand out in the workforce,” said Dr. Peter Cronrath, one of the faculty members behind the initiative. “By working directly with industry leaders, our students gain valuable skills and confidence.”
The Insight Into Diversity Inspiring Programs in Business Award recognizes institutions with long-term commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion in business education.
“We know that business programs are not always recognized for their success in fostering diversity and inclusion,” said Insight Into Diversity publisher Lenore Pearlstein. “We are proud to honor HCCC for its commitment to excellence and student empowerment.”
Insight Into Diversity is the oldest and largest diversity magazine in higher education, focusing on promoting inclusive learning environments.
