Hudson County residents were in for a rude awakening today as two fires broke out simultaneously in Union City and West New York. The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force quickly responded.

The fire in West New York occurred near Bergenline Avenue and 61st Street, causing the area to be evacuated. The fire in Union City occurred near Bergenline Avenue and 10th Street, with residential homes, smoke shop “Havana Smoke Shop,” and daycare “Mr. P’s Small World” being the closest buildings to the blaze.

Some residents claim they can smell marijuana burning from the smoke shop.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, and the arson task force is working diligently to investigate the cause of the fires. Meanwhile, residents and business owners are advised to avoid the affected areas until the situation is under control.

This is a developing story, and we will update you as soon as more information becomes available. Hudson residents are urged to stay safe and follow all evacuation instructions.
