Councilman Saleh Files to Run for Assembly on Fulop for Gov. Team

Jersey City, NJ — Councilman Yousef J. Saleh has officially filed his petitions to run for the New Jersey General Assembly in the 32nd Legislative District. Saleh joins the Fulop for Governor coalition alongside Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez and Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari under the “Democrats for Change” campaign.
“I’m honored to take this step toward representing the people of the 32nd District in the Assembly,” said Saleh. “Our communities deserve strong advocates in Trenton, and I’m committed to fighting for the issues that matter most — from improving public transit and ensuring equitable school funding to making New Jersey more affordable and enhancing our quality of life.”
Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez stated, “Yousef has always put his community first. His dedication and passion for public service will be invaluable in the fight for policies that benefit our constituents. I’m proud to stand with him and Mayor Fulop as we work together for a better New Jersey.”
The 32nd Legislative District includes parts of Jersey City and Hoboken.
Saleh’s announcement follows Assemblywoman Barbara McCann Stamato’s recent filing for re-election in the 31st District on the Fulop for Governor ticket.
