Big Changes Coming to Hoboken with $900M Residential Tower Project

Construction has begun on a 27-story residential building near the Hoboken Terminal, part of the $900 million Hoboken Connect redevelopment plan, as first reported by Jersey Digs. The new tower, called “Charlie,” will include 386 apartments, with 20% reserved for affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail and modern amenities.
The Hoboken Connect project aims to transform the area around the terminal by adding housing, retail spaces, two acres of open space, and upgrades to local transportation. These improvements will aim to enhance access to bus, ferry, and rail services while creating a new pedestrian-friendly environment. A 21-story office building and renovations to the Ferry Terminal and Warrington Plaza are also part of the redevelopment plan.
Construction on this phase started in May 2024, with the residential tower expected to be completed in 2026.
