Woman Stabbed to Death in West New York, Investigation Underway
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the West New York Police Department are investigating the stabbing death of a 24-year-old woman that occurred on February 7, 2023. The incident was reported to the police at approximately 5:54 a.m. when the victim’s lifeless body was found at 4914 Murphy Place with apparent stab wounds. The cause and manner of death are currently pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin have been notified.
A person of interest is currently in custody at Hackensack University Medical Center and the matter is being investigated as an act of domestic violence. The authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345 or to leave an anonymous tip on their website.
