New York Red Bulls Sign German Defender Alexander Hack
HARRISON, NJ – The New York Red Bulls have signed German defender Alexander Hack to a two-year Major League Soccer (MLS) contract through 2026, with an option for 2027. The signing is pending the approval of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Hack, 31, brings over a decade of professional experience, including eight seasons with 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga, where he made 145 appearances. He most recently played for Al-Qadsiah FC, contributing to their First Division League title in the 2023-2024 season.
Red Bulls Head Coach Sandro Schwarz expressed excitement about the signing, highlighting Hack’s passion and quality. “We are excited for him to get going with us on the pitch and we cannot wait for him to meet the rest of the group,” Schwarz said.
Hack’s addition strengthens the Red Bulls’ defense as they prepare for the upcoming season.
