HudPost Partners With El Especialito to Bring Local News to Spanish Readers

HudPost has partnered with El Especialito Hispanic Newspaper to publish a dedicated one-page section inside the paper’s weekly editions, bringing original Hudson County reporting to Spanish readers in print.

The section is branded as “el hudpostcito,” a name that translates to “little HudPost.” El Especialito was originally published under the name El Especial in the 1980s before being renamed in the 1990s as the publication transitioned from paid to free circulation.

“Two outlets, one Hudson County, and local news that reaches more of our community,” HudPost said.

El Especialito announced the collaboration in its October 2025 edition. “We are proud to highlight the work of HudPost and announce that you will soon see their young and passionate voices regularly in our pages, in a new weekly column that will celebrate the best of Hudson County,” the publication said.

El Especialito circulates 250,000 copies every Friday across Hudson, Passaic, Essex, Union, Bergen, and Middlesex counties in New Jersey, as well as multiple New York City boroughs, reaching more than one million readers each week. It is the only weekly publication in the Northeast, in any language, with an audited circulation.
