Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations, Road Closures in Secaucus

A gas leak has forced the evacuation of several businesses in Secaucus, prompting emergency road closures as utility crews work to contain the situation.
Witnesses say that a section of the roadway at Secaucus Road and Henry Street was visibly bulging, raising concerns of a potential underground gas issue. The affected area is surrounded by businesses, leading authorities to take swift action in evacuating nearby buildings as a precaution.
Emergency personnel, including the Secaucus Police Department and PSE&G, are on the scene assessing the situation. To ensure public safety, police have closed Secaucus Road from Henry Street to County Avenue and have also restricted access at County Avenue leading into Secaucus Road.
Despite the severity of the incident, officials have stated that no injuries have been reported. PSE&G workers are actively working to identify the source of the leak and mitigate any potential hazards.
