Kearny, NJ – A Jersey City woman has been arrested in connection with a crash that seriously injured a Pennsylvania man in Kearny last year, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Maria Molesky, 34, was taken into custody on Thursday, March 13, at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus. She was brought to the Hudson County Correctional Facility and is awaiting her first court appearance.

The crash happened on November 15, 2024, around 12:30 a.m. near Newark-Jersey City Turnpike and Fish House Road. Investigators say Molesky was driving a Jeep Compass when she collided with a Ford F-150, severely injuring the 56-year-old man from Pennsylvania who was driving the truck.

Kearny police arrested Molesky at the scene and cited her for reckless driving and driving while intoxicated. A follow-up investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit led to additional charges.
