Body Recovered from Hudson River Near Hoboken Pier, Investigation Underway

A man was found dead in the Hudson River near Pier C Park in Hoboken on Sunday afternoon.

According to a statement released by Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the Hoboken Police Department was alerted at approximately 2:15 p.m. on March 23 to the presence of a body in the river. Officers who responded to the scene located the remains of an adult male. He was pronounced dead on site.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit was called to the location and has taken over the investigation in coordination with Hoboken Police.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
