Beloved Jersey City Teacher and Mother of Three, Luz Hernandez, Found Deceased in Kearny, NJ

Tragedy has struck the Jersey City community with the passing of beloved resident and mother of three, Luz Hernandez. Hernandez, who was also a teacher at the Beloved Community Charter School, was found deceased on February 7, 2023, in Kearny, NJ. The circumstances surrounding her death remain shrouded in mystery and are currently under investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit.

Hernandez was a proud graduate of Saint Peter’s University, where she received a Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education and Teaching in 2017. Before joining the Beloved Community Charter School, Hernandez worked as a Coordinator at Viaquenti Academy. Her dedication and passion for educating young children was evident in all that she did.

Hernandez leaves behind three children and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the entire Jersey City community. An announcement regarding her passing will be made by her family at a later time.
