The Hoboken Public School District has signed a long-term lease for a new early childhood education center located at 38 Jackson Street. The facility, set to open for the 2026–2027 school year, will expand access to Pre-K and early learning programs in response to growing demand.

The site is part of Southend Hoboken, a mixed-use development along the city’s southern border. In addition to educational space, the development includes residential, commercial, and retail components.

The lease was brokered by Jacqueline Petruzzelli of Corcoran Sawyer Smith, who represented the school district in the agreement. The center will serve as the district’s latest investment in early childhood infrastructure and is expected to ease space constraints for Hoboken’s youngest students.

Renovations and buildout of the facility are scheduled to begin ahead of the center’s planned opening. The district has not yet released a public timeline for construction.
