On Monday, October 21, 2025, the Harrison Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious person at Harrison High School at approximately 12:52 p.m. Officers arrived promptly and collaborated with school officials and partner agencies to secure the campus.

After a full investigation, authorities determined the report was a “swatting” incident—defined as a false emergency call intended to provoke a police response. No actual threat was identified.

The Harrison Police Department acknowledged the cooperation of the Harrison School District, Harrison Fire Department, Harrison Department of Public Works, and St. Clare’s EMS during the response.

Police Chief Stanley Titterington and Police Director Nicholas G. Breiner emphasized the department’s commitment to community safety. “All reports of potential threats are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly,” the release stated.
