Top Things to Do in Hudson County This Week: July 6–12

From outdoor movies and international soccer to block parties and bold performances, this week in Hudson County is stacked with events for every vibe.
Start the week on Monday, July 7 in North Bergen with Outdoor Summer Movies at Sundown. This week’s movie is Despicable Me 4, starting at 7 PM. Bring a blanket and enjoy a free night out with the family.
Tuesday, July 8 anticipates multiple major events. At 3 PM, MetLife Stadium hosts FIFA Club World Cup Semifinal 1, featuring some of the top soccer clubs in the world.
That same evening at 6 PM, Union City hosts its first Summer Block Party of the season on 39th Street between Kennedy Boulevard and Bergen Turnpike. Expect music, food, games, and just overall great vibes.
Also on Tuesday, the Chamber Summer Cruise departs from Lincoln Harbor Marina at 5:30 PM. It’s a great way to enjoy music and drinks while cruising the Hudson with members of the Hudson County business community.
On Wednesday, July 9, Movies in the Park continues in Bayonne with Home screening from 7 to 10 PM. Free popcorn and drinks will be available.
Thursday, July 10 features DJ Nights in Guttenberg at 7 PM. DJ Ricky will be spinning as part of the Summer Music Series. It’s a fun way to wind down the week.
Friday, July 11 brings Music with Miss Julia at the Bayonne Public Library, with sessions at 10 and 11 AM for children ages six months to five years.
Saturday, July 12 is packed with community celebration and creative energy. East Newark’s 130th Anniversary Celebration runs from 11 AM to 7 PM with DJs, food trucks, a Kids Fun Zone, and a live performance by Judy Torres at 4 PM.
Also happening later that night, Paradigm Showcase VIII: DEUX takes the stage in Jersey City from 8 to 10 PM. Featuring music, dance, and poetry, the show blends bold storytelling with diverse performances for an unforgettable evening.
