St.Peter’s Prep outlasts Delbarton in close battle at Caven Point
St.Peter’s Prep Marauders defeated the Delbarton Green Wave 32-27 in a tightly contested game.

No. 4 St.Peter’s Prep Marauders defeated No.14 Delbarton Green Wave 32-27 in a tightly contested game at home.
The Marauders had a 19-0 lead for most of the game until the fourth quarter, when the Green Wave started to take momentum and even took 27-26 lead for a brief moment.
The Marauders were led by QB Robert “Champ” Long, who completed 33 of 43 passes for a total of 311 yards with 3 touchdown passes and an interception, along with a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Long threw a 83-yd touchdown pass to Andres Perez, a 35-yd touchdown pass to Kenyon Massey, and a 5- touchdown pass to Isaiah Giles.
Of note, Long has committed to play college football at the University of Maryland.
The Green Wave were led by QB Robert Russo, who completed 27 of 36 passes for a total of 357 yards and three touchdown passes. Russo connected with Ryan Trafford for a 29-yard touchdown pass, then an 8-yard touchdown to Philip Folmar, and a 18-yard touchdown to Michael Vaccaro.
The Marauders improved to 3-1 while Delbarton fell to 0-3. The next game for the Marauders will be against St. Josephs. The next game for Delbarton will be against Clifton.
