“Shame” Chants Erupt as HSI Detains Family in Jersey City

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents detained a man, a woman, and a child during a traffic stop near St. Paul’s Avenue and Concord Street in Jersey City on Thursday morning, prompting vocal reactions from bystanders.
A video submitted to HudPost by a reader shows several neighbors shouting “shame, shame, shame” as agents detained the family. In the footage, agents are seen taking the man into custody and escorting the woman and child from the scene.
“I was walking my son to school when I first saw the traffic stop,” said Shawn, a local resident. “When I was walking back they blocked off the street. It looks like they took the lady’s husband. They put the woman and her son in the car and escorted her away.”
HudPost reached out to HSI for comment.
