Palestinian Flag Raised at North Bergen Town Hall

The Palestinian flag was raised outside North Bergen Town Hall on Friday, Sept. 26, during a public event attended by local officials and community leaders.

Mayor Nicholas Sacco welcomed residents and guests inside the Municipal Chambers, where Rabbi Weiss, Lutheran Pastor Erich Kussman, and Mohammed Abdullah of the North Hudson Islamic Education Center spoke as representatives of the Abrahamic faiths.

During the event, Sacco presented a certificate of recognition to the Hanoon Foundation for its humanitarian service and dedication to supporting displaced families and vulnerable communities in times of crisis.

Commissioners Hugo Cabrera and Claudia Rodriguez, Assemblyman Julio Marenco, and County Commissioner Robert Baselice joined Sacco for the presentation and the flag-raising that followed.
