Jersey City Double Shooting

A Hudson County jury has convicted a Jersey City man in a shooting that ended fatally, with two people dead and four others injured.

Omire Rios-Williams, 23, was found guilty on Monday, June 9, 2025, of two counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault, and multiple weapons offenses.

The charges come from a shooting that occurred just before 11 p.m. on May 21, 2021, near Crescent Avenue and Brinkerhoff Street in Jersey City. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found six people with gunshot wounds. Two of the victims, Jason Crutcher, 26, and Randolph Black Jr, 25, both from Jersey City, were pronounced dead. The other four victims survived.

Rios-Williams codefendant, Cooleone McNeil, 25, from Bayonne was found guilty of first degree conspiracy to commit murder but then later was acquitted of the remaining charges.

The case was prosecuted by Hudson County Assistant Prosecutors David Feldman and Daniel Gilbert. Sentencing for Rios-Williams is set for September 5, 2025.
