Councilmember Candidate Coordinates $100K Baby Food and Formula Donation

Jersey City Council At-Large candidate Kristen Zadroga-Hart, running on Team O’Dea, coordinated a donation of more than $100,000 worth of baby food and formula to assist families in need across Jersey City.

The donation was provided by JSG Organics, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Holle Baby Food, and facilitated by Larell Millan, the company’s Head of Consumer Relations and a Jersey City resident. Distribution is underway at multiple food pantries throughout the city to provide nutritional support for infants amid rising costs and supply shortages.
“As a mother, educator, and lifelong advocate for families, I understand how vital access to proper nutrition is for a child’s development,” said Zadroga-Hart. “I’m proud to have played a role in bringing this much-needed support to our communities, and I am deeply grateful to JSG Organics and Larell Millan for their partnership and generosity.”
The effort reflects Zadroga-Hart’s platform focus on reducing food insecurity and strengthening support systems for local families. Food pantries have reported increased demand for baby-related items, driven by economic pressures and inflation.
Millan, who initiated the effort within JSG Organics, highlighted the significance of community-driven action.
“Being from Jersey City, I know firsthand the challenges many families face,” said Millan. “It was important to me and to JSG Organics that we give back in a meaningful way. I’m proud to work with leaders like Kristen who care deeply and act quickly to help those in need.”
Deliveries to pantries began earlier this month, supported by local volunteers and nonprofit organizations. Distribution is expected to continue in the coming weeks.
