West New York Mayor Endorses Board of Education Slate

Mayor Albio Sires, alongside Commissioners Marcos Arroyo, Victor Barrera, Marielka Diaz, and Adam Parkinson, have endorsed the “Your Children’s Future” team for the West New York Board of Education election, occurring on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024.

The endorsed slate, consisting of Stephanie M. Gonzalez, Jose Ruben Mendoza, and Damarys Gonzalez, is running unopposed in this election.

“These are three great school board members who have the experience delivering results for the children and families of West New York,” says Mayor Sires.

The “Your Children’s Future” team is part of a trend seen across several Hudson County towns this election cycle, where school board candidates face no opposition. This pattern is also observed in North Bergen and Weehawken, where the school board slates “Our Children First” and “Continue The Progress,” respectively, are similarly unchallenged, according to the Hudson County Clerk’s Office Election Division master list.

The Board of Education election set for Tuesday, April 16th, 2024. Polls will be open from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Election Day.
