Triple Homicide on Hutton Street Under Investigation as Domestic Violence Incident

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Authorities are investigating a tragic triple homicide on Hutton Street in Jersey City that occurred late Wednesday night. According to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, the incident, involving a woman and her two children, is being treated as a domestic violence case.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office (HCPO) confirmed that the victims were a woman and two children, ages five and nine. A male suspect, identified as the perpetrator, reportedly attempted to harm himself after the attack but was taken into custody.

Mayor Fulop addressed the situation in a statement, saying, “This was a terrible triple homicide… The man is in custody right now. We have chaplains and social workers in the neighborhood to work with family and neighbors. We are working closely with the HCPO.”

The HCPO’s Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are collaborating on the investigation. As of now, authorities have not released further details regarding the identities of the victims or the suspect.
