DT Allen Contracting, a real estate development firm, is partnering with the Township of North Bergen to offer free Christmas Trees to Hudson County police officers, firefighters, EMTs and other first responders, as well as frontline medical workers and teachers.
“The trees are being given as a thank you to the essential workers who have kept Hudson County moving throughout this tumultuous year,” says a statement from the township. “Trees will be available on a first come, first served basis this Saturday, November 28th starting at 10:00 a.m. and identification must be shown to receive a tree
“This year has been incredibly hard for all of us, but the sacrifices the people on the front lines of the pandemic continue to make are truly inspiring and we wanted to do something to give back and spread some holiday cheer to our frontline heroes,” said Dan Allen, Principal of DT Allen Contracting. “Whether they are patrolling our streets, working in our hospitals or teaching our children in unprecedented circumstances, these men and women deserve our thanks and this was the least we could do to show them how much we appreciate them.”
