Man Arrested in West New York for Allegedly Luring Child

On the evening of November 19, 2024, West New York Police arrested a North Bergen man accused of attempting to lure an 11-year-old girl into a vehicle. The incident occurred near 61st Street and Kennedy Boulevard. The child was unharmed.

Following a swift investigation, police apprehended Guy R. McCann II, 29, of North Bergen. McCann has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Attempting to Lure or Entice a Child. He is currently being held at the Hudson County Jail.

West New York Police Director Alejandro De Rojas praised the department’s quick response, stating, “We will stop at nothing to protect the children of our community and remain committed to taking every step necessary to ensure their safety.”
