Help Identify Suspect in West New York Sexual Assault

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted for questioning in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in West New York. The incident took place early Saturday morning on July 27, 2024.

A 40-year-old woman reported encountering an unknown male around 1:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Hudson Avenue and 51st Street. The victim stated that the male grabbed her by her hair and then sexually assaulted her.

Investigators have obtained images of a person of interest. The individual is described as wearing a light-colored shirt with the word “Originals” on both the front and back, dark jeans, and black and white sneakers at the time of the assault.

The investigation is being actively conducted by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit in collaboration with the West New York Police Department.
