Arson Task Force Investigating Four-Alarm Fire in Jersey City
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced an ongoing investigation into a severe four-alarm fire that broke out late Friday, November 8, at 3507 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. The blaze, which reportedly began in a ground-floor business, quickly escalated and spread to adjacent residential units, displacing 26 residents.
The Jersey City Fire Department responded to reports of smoke and flames shortly before 11 p.m. Firefighters arriving on the scene encountered heavy smoke as the fire spread throughout the building. While there were no fatalities, two firefighters sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Jersey City Medical Center.
The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force is leading the investigation, working closely with the Jersey City Fire Department to determine the cause of the fire.
