Bayonne University Hospital Hosts Send-Off Celebration for Bayonne Little League Team 

On August 5, Bayonne University Hospital hosted a send-off celebration and pizza party honoring the Bayonne 12U Little League team, which captured the New Jersey Little League championship on August 3. Bayonne University Hospital team members, joined by Bayonne Mayor Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski, wished the players, their families, and coaches well during a ceremony in the hospital’s newly renovated lobby.

“Bayonne University Hospital is thrilled to recognize the Bayonne Little League team on their historic New Jersey Little League State Championship!” said Anna Coviello, Chief Nursing Officer at Bayonne University Hospital.

“Congratulations to our hometown boys for bringing home the state championship, moving on to the regional tournament, and for making Bayonne so proud,” said Ashe-Nadrowski. “Thank you to Bayonne University Hospital for being supportive corporate neighbors as we recognize our local athletes and support their families.”

Bayonne Little League now advances to the Metro Region Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut, where the team will compete this weekend for a spot in the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania. The team has remained undefeated during the district, sectional, and state tournaments.
