Hudson Regional Health has appointed Doug Zehner as executive vice president and system chief financial officer. In this role, Zehner will oversee financial strategy and operations across HRH’s four hospitals in Secaucus, Bayonne, Hoboken, and Jersey City.

Zehner brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare finance and operations. Most recently, he served as Northeast regional chief financial officer at RWJBarnabas Health, where he led financial planning and capacity improvements for a multi-hospital portfolio.

“Hudson Regional Health is committed to building a world-class leadership team, and Doug will play an integral role in the continued growth of our system and long-term stability,” said Yan Moshe, chairman of the board. “His exceptional track record in healthcare finance and operations will directly benefit the communities we proudly serve.”

Zehner has also held senior positions at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver. His work has included launching financial divisions, strengthening investment oversight, and expanding clinical partnerships with academic programs.

“Doug is an exceptional addition to the HRH family,” said Dr. Nizar Kifaieh, president and CEO of HRH. “His decades of experience revitalizing healthcare systems, strong financial acumen, and consistent track record of success make him exactly the type of leader that will further drive our growth in the region.”

Zehner holds degrees from George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
