Union City High School’s Mark Boyd Wins Mini Max Award

Mark Boyd, a star athlete from Union City High School (UCHS), has been honored with the Mini Max Award, one of the most prestigious accolades for high school football players in the Tri-State area. This award, presented by the Maxwell Football Club, celebrates student-athletes who exemplify excellence in athletic performance, leadership, and character.
Boyd’s achievement marks a significant milestone for UCHS, as he becomes only the second football player in the school’s history to receive the award. He follows Denzel Chavis, who earned the distinction in 2023. Boyd’s recognition highlights the sustained success of Union City’s Soaring Eagles football program, which continues to develop top-tier talent.
The Mini Max Award winners are celebrated at the annual Mini Max Dinner held in Philadelphia, PA. This event honors athletes from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware who have shown exceptional dedication both on and off the field.
Since its founding in 1935, the Maxwell Football Club has been a leader in recognizing and promoting football excellence. The Club’s various awards have honored athletes at every level, with many recipients going on to achieve national acclaim in college and professional football.
