Postal Inspectors Offer $100K Reward in Jersey City Mail Theft Case

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect who allegedly posed as a United States Postal Service letter carrier to steal mail from apartment buildings in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The impersonation incident occurred on July 19, 2025, at 311 Sip Avenue, where the suspect reportedly accessed mail intended for local residents. Authorities believe the individual is also connected to additional mail theft cases involving other apartment buildings in the Jersey City area.

The Postal Inspection Service continues to investigate the case and encourages anyone with relevant information to come forward.
