Authorities Investigating Fatal Stabbing in Bayonne

A 28-year-old Bayonne man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred Monday night on Meadow Street.

Bayonne police responded to a report of a dispute at 17 Meadow Street shortly before 10:20 p.m. on November 3. Officers found Richard Arcos, 41, of Garfield, with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead just after 11:15 p.m. The cause and manner of death are being determined by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Andrew Fuentes was arrested at the scene and charged in connection with the incident, which is being investigated as a domestic dispute.

Acting Prosecutor Mello credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Bayonne Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
