Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center appointed Anthony J. Passannante Jr., M.D., FACC, as the new Acting President.
The Board of Governors of Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center announcement of the appointment became effective as of July 1, 2017.
“Dr. Passannante has served with distinction in leadership roles at the medical center and will continue to inspire team members to provide highly-quality, patient-centered care,’’ said Robert G. Garrett, FACHE, co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.
According to Dr. Passannante’s LinkedIn profile, he received his bachelors degree at the University of Pennsylvania and went on to study medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
He was the former President and Managing Partner at New Brunswick Cardiology Group for 26 years. He has also served as the Palisades Medical Center’s VP of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer since 2015.
“As a cardiologist and hospital executive, Dr. Passannante is a proven leader who will develop strategies that focus on optimal outcomes in convenient settings for patients at every level of care, ‘’ said John K. Lloyd, FACHE, co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.
