The Hoboken and Secaucus police departments arrested a Hoboken man on Feb. 24, 2026, in connection with separate dog-related incidents that occurred earlier this month in both municipalities.
Robert Braxton, 42, of Hoboken, was charged with aggravated assault and two counts of endangering another person related to an incident that occurred in Secaucus on Feb. 16, 2026.
Authorities also charged Braxton in connection with a separate incident in Hoboken on Feb. 18, 2026. Those charges include animal cruelty, creating a risk of widespread injury, and two counts of simple assault.
Police seized three Cane Corso dogs after obtaining court authorization. The dogs remain housed at the Secaucus Animal Shelter.
