Bayonne Girls Soccer Wins County Title Over Hoboken

The Bayonne High School girls soccer team beat Hoboken 2-0 Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison to win the Hudson County tournament championship.

The final was a rematch of last year’s, when Hoboken beat Bayonne for the title. This time top-seeded Bayonne turned the tables on the second-seeded defending champions.

Bayonne scored early in the first half and added an insurance goal in the 76th minute against second-seeded Hoboken, the defending champion. The win gave the Bees their second county title in three seasons.
