Moustafa, E. Ramirez, and A. Sepulveda were dispatched to the 400 block of 53rd Street, where they found an apartment door open and damaged.
Inside the apartment, officers located Albert Carroll, 61, of the Bronx, and Diego Bautista, 31, of New York City. Both were wearing ski masks. A crowbar, believed to have been used to force entry, was recovered at the scene. Officers detained both men without incident.
The two were charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief, conspiracy, and theft. They were later taken to Hudson County Jail.
