Shots Fired Near North Bergen High School, No Injuries Reported

The North Bergen Police Department received multiple reports of shots fired in the area of 73rd Street between Kennedy Boulevard and Cottage Avenue at approximately 8:39 p.m., according to a statement from Captain Alex J. Barrios.

Responding officers located multiple shell casings at the scene. No injured parties were identified or came forward.

Preliminary findings indicate the incident may be connected to a prior matter involving juveniles. Out of an abundance of caution, Chief Robert J. Farley Jr. directed increased patrols in and around the high school.
