Liberty State Park will be buzzing with excitement June 6–8 as Pokémon trainers from across the region gather for Pokémon GO Fest 2025. This marks the first time Jersey City is hosting the global event, joining cities like New York, Madrid, and Sendai on this year’s international tour.

Gameplay will start at North Cove Field and Freedom Way, with two daily time slots available: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A standard ticket costs $30, giving attendees access to exclusive in-park gameplay before continuing their hunt in Jersey City or New York City.

For those looking for a more immersive and extended experience, citywide gameplay add-ons are available for $20 per day. Upgrades include themed experiences like “Egg-thusiast” and “Raid Lover.”

Trainers planning to commute to GO Fest are encouraged to use public transportation, though it’s not mandatory. “Getting to Pokémon GO Fest courtesy of public transit is the best option for Trainers,” the Pokémon GO Fest team states on the official website. “We strongly encourage Trainers to download the NJ TRANSIT app to book your light rail and bus trips.” Driving is also an option, but note that there is no public parking at Liberty State Park.

As the excitement builds, some users remain cautious due to past concerns about data privacy. Experts advise players to use the app only in public spaces and to be mindful of how location data connects to broader personal information. Being aware of your surroundings and limiting camera use can help ensure a safer experience.

GO Fest 2025 launched in Osaka and will wrap up with a free virtual event on June 28–29.
