Hoboken Man Arrested for Exposing Himself

A 45-year-old Hoboken man was arrested on New Year’s Day after police responded to a report of lewd conduct near Willow Avenue and Third Street.
At approximately 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2026, Hoboken Police officers were dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a man exposing himself and committing a lewd act in front of another individual.
Based on a description provided by the victim, officers located Damont Dyer on the 300 block of Washington Street, where he was detained. The victim later positively identified Dyer as the person involved in the incident.
Dyer was arrested for criminal sexual contact, transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing, and then taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
“I commend the swift actions and thorough investigative work of the responding officers,” said Hoboken Police Chief Steven Aguiar. “Their professionalism and commitment led to a quick arrest in this case, holding the individual accountable, and demonstrating once again, these types of incidents are taken extremely seriously in Hoboken.”
