Hoboken City Hall Shuts Down Following Cyberattack

Hoboken City Hall and all related online services were shut down on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, following a ransomware attack. The cyberattack, which occurred during the early morning hours, prompted immediate action from city officials to ensure safety and mitigate risks.

As a result of the incident, City Hall will remain closed for the day, and all online city services have been temporarily suspended. Municipal Court sessions are canceled, and street sweeping services have been halted for the rest of the day. However, other essential services, including waste collection and recreational programs, will proceed as scheduled. Parking regulations remain unchanged.

The Hoboken Police Department, in coordination with the city’s administration and IT department, is investigating the breach and working to restore services securely. Officials have assured residents that updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
