Carmelo’s Grill Opens on Kennedy Boulevard

Carmelo’s Grill, a new Latin-inspired restaurant, officially opened its doors on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at 7814 Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen. Owned by local resident and entrepreneur Carmelo Estrada, the restaurant features a menu of grilled meats, pulled pork, chicken dishes, fresh guacamole, traditional stews, and hearty breakfasts, offering a taste of authentic Latin cuisine.

Estrada, who also owns Lidia’s Deli in Palisades Park, spent more than two years renovating the space to bring his vision to life. “Opening Carmelo’s Grill in my hometown is a dream come true,” Estrada said. “We’re excited to share fresh, flavorful dishes with the North Bergen community.”

The restaurant is conveniently located next to Celly’s Nail Place, a salon owned by Estrada’s wife, adding a family-oriented touch to the bustling Kennedy Boulevard corridor.

Local residents were treated to samples of signature menu items during their grand opening. The restaurant aims to be a gathering place for neighbors to enjoy a warm, inviting atmosphere and delicious meals.
