A Taste of NYC Italian Cuisine in North Bergen

Published

on

North Bergen has been known to have some very diverse cuisines for a town that is located outside of New York City.

One restaurant that stands out is Gallo Nero on 7709 Bergenline Avenue which brings authentic Italian cuisine to North Bergen.

Brothers Lou and Besim, who are natives of Sicily have been in the restaurant business for about 23 years as they also have locations in New York City and Guttenburg, NJ.

Having many restaurants in New York City until the pandemic caused them to shut down many of them. Now slowly on the rise, bringing back two of his restaurants Gallo Nero and Cara Mia, on 201 70th street Guttenburg, to New Jersey. Lou is confident about the business coming to New Jersey.

“I lived in New Jersey for a long time traveling to New York”, said Lou, “My Brother and I decided it was time to bring the New York experience of dining here to New Jersey.

Serving up many classic Italian dishes such as Penne Vodka, Chicken Parm, Pasta e Fagioli, and etc… There are many choices to choose from on the Menu.

One thing that is special about the place where you have a prix fixe lunch for $12.95 on Thursdays and Fridays where some of the dishes are at a reduced price to try authentic Italian cuisine. Next month there will be a weekend brunch special during lunch hours to check out as well.

If you are walking on Bergenline, and are in the mood for authentic Italian, then Gallo Nero may be the spot for you!
