Charley Closes in Harrison; Ani Ramen to Take Over

Charley, a restaurant at the Harrison Urby apartments, has closed after four years in business, and a new concept from the team behind Ani Ramen is set to take its place.

The restaurant announced it would close its doors on Sunday, August 23, 2026, thanking its customers in a message on social media.

“After four wonderful years, Charley will be closing its doors,” the restaurant said. “Thank you for all the memories and for being part of our journey.”

Located at 202 Angelo Cifelli Drive, Charley was a casual venue that served American favorites, including burgers and schnitzels, along with cocktails, beer, and wine.

A new concept from the team behind Ani Ramen has committed to opening in the space, Jersey Digs reported, citing an email sent to Harrison Urby residents.

“Charley became a true neighborhood destination, and we’re thrilled to welcome Ani Ramen to carry that forward for our residents and neighbors,” David Barry, founder and CEO of Urby, said in a statement reported by the outlet.

According to Jersey Digs, Urby also told residents it would team up with Ani Ramen later this fall to give them a “first taste” of the new restaurant.

“We can’t wait to introduce our new Ani Ramen concept to this neighborhood,” said Luck Sarabhayavanija, founder of Montclair Hospitality Group, in comments reported by Jersey Digs.
