West New York Police Hold Promotions and Swear In New Officers

The West New York Police Department held a promotional ceremony recognizing officers moving up in rank and welcoming new recruits to the force.
Six sergeants were promoted to lieutenant: Yousef Awadallah, Julian Porras, Daniel Leon, Aida Miranda, Nedal Saadeh, and Robert Cirri.
Three officers were promoted to sergeant: Det. Orli Benitez, P.O. Christian Ramos, and P.O. Matthew Dragone.
Seven new officers were sworn in: Michael Medero, Mohammad I. Abusiyam, Jaiden M. Corbett, Giovanni Munoz, Keity Y. Abreu-Amadiz, Bradley J. Manso, and Lenny E. Munguia.
Mayor Albio Sires, the Board of Commissioners, and Director Henry Codina attended the ceremony.
“These promotions represent years of hard work, experience, and commitment to the job,” the department said in a statement. “Stepping into a new rank is a significant milestone and comes with greater responsibility to lead, mentor, and serve the community.”
